Application from Distributor to set rates for data centres and cryptographic use applied to blockchains
(Case R-4333-2026)
Pursuant to its decision D-2026-025, the Régie de l’énergie (the Régie) will hold a public hearing to examine an application from Hydro-Québec when carrying on electric power distribution activities (the Distributor) to set rates for data centres and cryptographic use applied to blockchains (case R-4333-2026).
The application
The Distributor is asking the Régie to set a new rate applicable to data centres and to make adjustments to Rate CB (for cryptographic use applied to blockchains).
Applications to intervene
Any person wishing to participate in the examination of the Distributor’s application must file with the Régie, by noon on March 16, 2026, a request to intervene, accompanied by the Liste des sujets form listing the subjects they intend to address and, if applicable, a participation budget, in accordance with the Rules of procedure of the Régie de l’énergie (the Rules) and the Guide de paiement des frais des intervenants 2020 (the Guide).
